Who can nominate
All Australians are invited to nominate an outstanding individual that meets the broad criteria.
Nominations will be accepted for people who have contributed significantly to elevating the visibility and importance of Australian women receiving equitable access to higher levels of leadership across all industry and all forms of organisation. The “contribution” can be by way of direct and intended achievements/deeds i.e. affecting legislation, instituting company policy or any form of indirect or unintended achievements/deeds: i.e. inspirational performance and high achievement. The nomination criteria are designed to minimise bias. As such the nomination criterion is sufficiently broad to ensure that no single individual nominee is favoured. The purpose of this nomination process is to identify a short-list of finalists through which the winners for each category will be selected. Successful nominees will be contacted by WLA on behalf of the wider WLA community to seek their consent and acceptance of the nominated award prior to the award announcements. The 2019 Awards for Excellence in Women’s Leadership will be presented at the 2019 Australian Women’s Leadership Symposiums.
- Nominees must be 18 years or older from 1st January 2018.
- Nominees must have been employed and/or resided within Australia between January 1st , 2018 and November 30th 2018. Whilst an emphasis will be placed on the achievements of the nominee during 2018, nominations may also refer to actions that commenced before that time and continued into the application period, particularly in any instance where prior activity served as a foundation for ongoing and more current activities.
- Nominations will close on Friday 24th November.
