Experience
Samantha Tomkinson began her career as a psychologist in the UK in 2002 after working in a commercial banking environment for several years. She became intrigued by people’s leadership capabilities, team dynamics, people’s differences and strengths and their different approaches to communication.

Samantha has held in-house leadership roles and senior consulting positions as a Chartered Occupational Psychologist in SHL, the global leaders in psychometric assessment, where she was a trusted advisor to many clients in the areas of leadership effectiveness. In 2013 she moved to New Zealand and has been supporting the growth of New Zealand leaders with a focus on developing their emotional intelligence. Samantha has worked extensively with senior leaders and organisations across the public and private sectors in both NZ and the UK.

As well as being a registered psychologist, Sam is qualified in the facilitation of several psychometrics including MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator), HDS (Hogan’s suite), Strengthscope, Wave and OPQ (Occupational Personality Questionnaire) and is a Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) practitioner. She is passionate about bringing the knowledge of human development, neuroscience and her experience as a leader to help others develop their leadership capability and realise their true potential.
