Virginia Haussegger is a passionate women’s advocate, award-winning television journalist and communication specialist whose media career spans more than 25 years. She is Director of the 50/50 by 2030 Foundation, an initiative of the University of Canberra’s Institute for Governance and Policy Analysis (IGPA). Virginia sits on the Board of the ACT Government’s Cultural Facilities Corporation; Our Watch, Media Advisory Committee; and Women in Media Canberra. In 2014, she was made a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) for service to the community. She was recently named 2019 ACT Australian of the Year.​
