Experience
Dr Janet Smith is an Associate and Senior Facilitator for Women & Leadership Australia (WLA). Janet previously worked for WLA for 7 years as Program Director and Lead Facilitator, and has extensive experience in workshop facilitation, leading national and international leadership summits, teaching face-to-face and online leadership courses, course design, and executive coaching. Janet’s specialisation within WLA included facilitation of women’s leadership summits and school principal wellbeing workshops.
Janet is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Canberra, where she specialises in Educational Leadership, mentoring and coaching. During her years at UC, Janet has occupied a wide range of leadership positions, including Associate Dean Education and Deputy Head of School. Janet’s work at UC has involved managing and teaching national and international professional learning courses, specialising in leadership, mentoring, and coaching and social and emotional learning. Prior to working at the university, Janet was a high school teacher and school leader.
