Ticketing

Can I buy tickets offline? How?​

You can purchase tickets offline by contacting the Events Team on +61 (0) 3 9270 9095.


Can I purchase tickets at the door/gate/entrance?

Tickets must be purchased at least one (1) business day prior to the event.


Can I share my event ticket with another person?

No. Tickets are issued to an individual and are not transferable between event sessions/days.


Do I need to know the names of my delegates when booking?

No. We do not require names of all of your delegates when booking online or over the phone, as we will contact you closer to the event date to collect this information from you.


How will I receive my ticket?

You will receive a confirmation email for the event. There is no need to present this for entry on the day, as the Events Team will have your registration details on file.


Payment

Do I have to pay up front when I book online/can I receive an invoice?​

When booking online, there is an option to select a “Please Invoice Me” checkbox once you reach the checkout area. You will then receive an invoice via email with payment details included.


Do you offer any discounts or scholarships to attend?​

WLA proudly offers Leadership and Development Grants for 64 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women to attend the Symposium series. For more information, and to apply, please click here.


What types of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards and electronic funds transfers.


When will I receive my invoice?

Our Finance Department will aim to email an invoice to you in one (1) – three (3) business days after booking your ticket.


Attendance

I am breastfeeding; can I bring my baby with me?​

Yes! Please contact us beforehand at events@wla.edu.au if you require access to refrigeration as this can be arranged with the venue.


Is there any pre-reading/pre-event tasks required?​

If there are any pre-reading or pre-event tasks which need to be completed prior to the event, you will receive an email from us detailing what is required.


Is there an age limit on who can attend?

While we do not enforce an age limit, due to the nature of the content shared at our events we recommend attendees are at least 18 years old. If you have caring responsibilities and need to bring a child with you, please email us at events@wla.edu.au so we can support your attendance.


Is this event for women only?

No! We encourage delegates of all genders to attend.


Special Access Requirements

If you have any special access requirements, please contact us at events@wla.edu.au upon registration and we can make necessary arrangements to enable your attendance to this event.


What is the dress code for events/am I required to wear my uniform?

Our preferred dress code for our events is business/smart casual; but you are more than welcome to wear your organisation’s uniform instead if that is their preference.


Will there be an AUSLAN Interpreter present at the event?

If you require AUSLAN Interpreter services, please email us at events@wla.edu.au as soon as possible after making your booking, and we will coordinate this with you.

What if I have dietary requirements?​

Please inform us of any dietary requirements you have so we can accommodate you on the day; you can email us at events@wla.edu.au once you have registered.


What should I bring with me to events?

Everything you need in relation to the event will be provided for you on the day (i.e. workbook, pen, notepad etc.)


Where can I get involved on social media?

You can find all our social media links via our website www.wla.edu.au. There will also be event specific hashtags which will we share with you at the event.


Will I be seated with my colleagues?

Seating is allocated only for bookings of groups of 8, i.e.:
Bookings of 1 – 7 delegates: No seating allocated
Bookings of 8 delegates: Allocated one table of 8
Bookings of 9 – 15 delegates: Allocated one table of 8, with remaining delegates not assigned any seating
Bookings of 16 delegates: Allocated two tables of 8
If you are from the same organisation, but have booked separately, you will not have a table reserved unless you contact us directly with a request to be seated together.
