Dr Jann Carroll is a highly experienced facilitator at Women and Leadership Australia (WLA). With a strong background in education, Jann has dedicated her expertise to working with teachers, early career professionals, and pre-service teachers. She excels in delivering workshops and professional learning experiences, both in-person and online. Jann is also skilled in course and program design, as well as coaching and mentoring. Before venturing into the field of education, Jann held marketing management positions in the finance sector and worked as a training consultant for small businesses. In addition to her professional achievements, Jann is the founder and director of Global School Partners, a noteworthy not-for-profit organisation established in 2010.Before joining WLA, Jann made significant contributions to the field of higher education. She worked at the Australian Catholic University and the University of Canberra, where she taught, coordinated, and developed courses and programs in Primary education, Literacy and Humanities education, and Professional experience. Jann’s dedication to primary and middle school education, inclusive education, and adult education, combined with her strong research skills, enabled her to deliver high-quality and innovative teaching and learning experiences. She fostered strong partnerships and teamwork, leading course reviews, developing unit suites, and leading national teams across different jurisdictions to ensure the delivery of excellent education degrees. Additionally, as a member of the ACU Academic board, Jann actively participated in shaping the university’s strategic direction and policy setting.Jann’s passion for community engagement and the transformative power of education has driven her to organise and lead numerous community engagement experiences for staff and students in South Africa and Kenya over the years. Prior to her work in higher education, Jann served as a primary teacher and took on a leadership role in a team dedicated to catering to special needs students.With a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to education, Jann continues to make a positive impact on the lives of educators and learners alike.
