Women & Leadership Australia has announced Meg Ibrahim as their newly appointed Acting General Manager, following the recent resignation of former GM, Karen Taylor.

Ms Ibrahim brings a deep understanding of the organisation’s strategic and operational priorities, having held a number of key positions within Women & Leadership Australia over nearly 10 years, most recently as Director of Operations.

The appointment of Ms Ibrahim as Acting General Manager provides continuity and focus for the organisation, following Ms Taylor’s recent decision to pursue a new leadership opportunity in the community services sector.

Ms Ibrahim said she is honoured to be entrusted with the leadership role and to guide the organisation into its next chapter.

“I’m delighted to be given this opportunity to lead Women & Leadership Australia at a point where the organisation employs a team of talented people, has a fantastic organisational culture, and has the foundations in place to continue to expand our impact,” Ms Ibrahim said.

Ms Ibrahim acknowledges the opportunities for personal and professional growth that she’s gained within the organisation over many years.

“When I joined the organisation nearly 10 years ago, I could never have imagined that one day I would hold the GM position,” she said. “It’s a testament to the organisation’s genuine investment in leadership development that I have been provided this opportunity, and that I have built the skills and experience to step into the role with confidence.”

Ms Ibrahim has a track record of leadership in developing and delivering on strategy, managing client relationships, and overseeing teaching excellence. With her background in Human Resources and Data Analysis she is well-equipped to build on the organisation’s strategic and growth plans. Innovation and customer satisfaction are key priority areas for Ms Ibrahim as she takes the reins.

“I’m constantly seeking opportunities to implement new ideas and ways of working, and I look forward to working with my colleagues to improve the experience of our course participants, event attendees, clients and partners,” she said.

With this appointment, Ms Ibrahim also takes up the role of Acting General Manager for sister organisation Women & Leadership New Zealand.
